The tape said wait; the Saints did not. Peny Boone went at pick 71, a good 332 picks before the board was ready.

However the rest shakes out, Emmanwori at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
