The Cardinals spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Brenden Rice, the No. 121 name on the board, in the Round 5 slot. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Watson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
