The Cardinals robbed the room for Smith-Wade. Final grade: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Cardinals shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

Taylor has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Smith-Wade at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.

Amarius Mims in pick 35 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

They paid a round early for Jalen McMillan in the 66th pick, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Edgerrin Cooper slipping to the 71st overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
