A weekend the Cardinals spent ahead of the board, for worse: F. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cardinals did exactly that with Delmar Glaze in pick 115. A F, plain and simple.
They banked enough surplus on Schrader to cover a lot of smaller sins. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
