The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Rodriguez pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
The veteran additions, Tristan Wirfs chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
