If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Cardinals, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They banked enough surplus on Hicks to cover a lot of smaller sins. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
