The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Andru Phillips fell into the Round 5 slot. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

The Watts pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
