After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Browns committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

On value alone, Thornton Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
