Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Panthers spent the 204th pick on Elijah Arroyo, a name most had 322 spots down the list. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

Whatever Cam Ward becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. However the rest shakes out, Bassa at that price is a win they earned. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.
