The Steelers answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: F.

The phones were a trap the Steelers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. The cost of the Hopper reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

However the rest shakes out, Sturdivant at that price is a win they earned. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.
