A franchise passer in Williams headlines a D weekend for the Bears.

Somebody took the Bears to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Reaching for Coleman left real value on the table behind him. The Jones pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
