The steal of the weekend belongs to the Cowboys and Freeling: D+.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Cowboys did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Put together, it is a D+.

The Freeling pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The Thieneman pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back, tight end and other spots still on the board. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
