The Vikings finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Kamari Lassiter, the No. 27 name on the board, sitting there at the 108th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
