The phones sank the Chiefs this weekend: D+.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent No. 93 on Jeffrey Bassa, a name most had 39 spots down the list. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Neal falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
