The Chargers went off-script early, and it cost them a F. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chargers spent the Round 6 slot on Mario Williams, a name the board had a full 127 spots lower. It bottoms out at a F.
On value alone, Lawson makes the weekend a net positive. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.
