Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
The Seahawks got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Seahawks clearly saw something nobody else did in Will Howard, taking him 87 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Landing Bowman Jr. that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and wide receiver is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Mike Green
In No. 18 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick42 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
The board fumbled Tyler Warren all the way to the 42nd overall pick, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick50 Rnd2 Will Howard
Value said wait; Will Howard in the Round 2 slot says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick82 Rnd3 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at slot 82 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick92 Rnd3 Demetrius Knight Jr.
A linebacker of that caliber at the 92nd pick is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick136 Rnd4 Jake Majors
They barely believed it either: Jake Majors still on the board at pick No. 136. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick171 Rnd5 Billy Bowman Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Billy Bowman Jr. at pick No. 171 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor itch, scratched.
