The Bills won the night they stopped Etienne from sliding. Grade: B+.

You build a draft on nights like this. Trevor Etienne had no business being available in the Round 6 slot, and the Bills did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
