The Bears kept it disciplined and banked a B-. Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Bears will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
Jordyn Tyson at pick 27 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick57
Rnd2
Jonah Coleman
A slide stopped in No. 57, with Jonah Coleman worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick129
Rnd4
Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson slid further than he should have, and slot 129 is lovely value for the cornerback. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick163
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
No drama and no debate, Jalen Stroman went about where he belonged in the Round 5 slot. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick225
Rnd7
Evan Stewart
Nice patience on Evan Stewart, who had no business lasting to Round 7, Pick 9. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick241
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
A straight-up fair deal on Trey Zuhn III at the 241st overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
