Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for McCaffrey: B. The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Luke McCaffrey, the No. 149 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 6 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Laube reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Gray pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
