TOMM DRAFTING FOR THESteelers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Steelers and Fitzgerald: B-. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Ryan Fitzgerald, the No. 164 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
If Sanders pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Mykel Williams
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Mykel Williams. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick83
Rnd3
Cameron Williams
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Cameron Williams at slot 83 is the proof. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick123
Rnd4
Jacob Parrish
By-the-book stuff, Jacob Parrish at Round 4, Pick 21 squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick156
Rnd5
Raheim Sanders
A big swing on Raheim Sanders at pick No. 156, well ahead of any board in the building. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick185
Rnd6
Ryan Fitzgerald
Steal is underselling it; Ryan Fitzgerald at the 185th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick229
Rnd7
Ja'Corey Brooks
Ja'Corey Brooks at No. 229 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
