Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesA FutureD
Woodson should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a B-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Falcons were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting Woodson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They are betting Sawyer proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Jack Sawyer
In pick 15 they get a bendy edge with upside, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick27 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick53 Rnd2 Wyatt Milum
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Wyatt Milum in slot 53. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick218 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
They went early on Cam Jackson in the 218th overall pick, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick242 Rnd7 Craig Woodson
Steal is underselling it; Craig Woodson at No. 242 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
