The Patriots kept it disciplined and banked a B+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Jasheen Davis a full 140 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That Lambert-Smith pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
