Somebody in Round 3, Pick 29 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Keionte Scott, the No. 72 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
