Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tre Harris got past him. The Bears do not have to explain a thing at the Round 7 slot. It grades a D+, and the process earned it.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
