Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureD
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Bills get a C+.

The Bills put a flag in the ground for Kendall Milton, 40 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. The final tally is a middling C+.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

If Chop Robinson and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a bendy edge with upside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
No drama and no debate, Adonai Mitchell went about where he belonged in the 33rd pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick60 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
They paid sticker price for Cooper Beebe in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick65 Rnd3 Ruke Orhorhoro
Fair-plus on Ruke Orhorhoro, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick101 Rnd4 Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens in No. 101 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick128 Rnd4 Brenden Rice
Brenden Rice at the 128th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick133 Rnd4 Javon Foster
Javon Foster at Round 4, Pick 33 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick144 Rnd5 Tanor Bortolini
A conviction pick on Tanor Bortolini at pick No. 144 that the board grades a round light. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick160 Rnd5 Jaylin Simpson
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaylin Simpson. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick163 Rnd5 Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall at No. 163 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick164 Rnd5 Cedric Johnson
Cedric Johnson at slot 164 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick204 Rnd6 Cody Schrader
They paid up for Cody Schrader at the 204th pick when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
Pick205 Rnd6 Kendall Milton
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Kendall Milton well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick248 Rnd7 Evan Anderson
They reached a country mile for Evan Anderson at the 248th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
