The Bills lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

The Bills indulged a want in Jackson while a need in running back and tight end stayed open. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Ceaser reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

That Jackson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
