The Buccaneers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jordyn Tyson, the No. 23 name on the board, in pick No. 54.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Velling pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with tight end chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
