Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall

FutureB-
The Buccaneers let Jenkins fall and pounced. Final grade: B. If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Buccaneers, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Jenkins makes the weekend a net positive.
The Buccaneers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In pick 30 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick31
Rnd1
Kamren Kinchens
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kamren Kinchens in the 31st overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick40
Rnd2
Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
They took Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick72
Rnd3
Kris Jenkins
You do not let an edge rusher like Kris Jenkins reach slot 72 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick108
Rnd4
Troy Fautanu
By-the-book stuff, Troy Fautanu at the 108th pick squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick131
Rnd4
Cameron Ward
Cameron Ward at pick No. 131 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick186
Rnd6
Jahdae Barron
Jahdae Barron in slot 186 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A fine player at a spot low on the priority list.
