Nobody had Shawn Murphy this high, and it is not close. The Buccaneers reached 110 spots to get him at the 229th pick. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Muhammad where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster. Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
