Somebody in slot 120 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Buccaneers sat still while Barrett Carter, the No. 87 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need Payton to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
