Brailsford at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They are betting Barham proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Germaine Pratt gives the group a proven body among the projects.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
