Nobody dealt better than the Buccaneers this weekend: B+. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Buccaneers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
Every board in the league had Morgan lower, and that gap is the story. On value alone, Hill Jr. makes the weekend a net positive.
That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Buccaneers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. at the Round 1 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick96
Rnd3
Tacario Davis
A conviction pick on Tacario Davis at the 96th pick that the board grades a round light. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick122
Rnd4
Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp in pick 122 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick161
Rnd5
James Smith
A big swing on James Smith at the 161st overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick200
Rnd6
Semaj Morgan
Semaj Morgan at pick No. 200 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
