Grand theft in the 122nd overall pick: the Buccaneers steal Sabb and grade out a B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Keon Sabb, the No. 80 name on the board, stolen at the 122nd overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Tuliaupupu has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Malik Muhammad
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54
Rnd2
CJ Allen
CJ Allen in pick 54 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick86
Rnd3
Germie Bernard
Fair-plus on Germie Bernard, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick122
Rnd4
Keon Sabb
Keon Sabb in slot 122 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick200
Rnd6
J.C. Davis
J.C. Davis in the Round 6 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick235
Rnd7
Solomon Tuliaupupu
A big swing on Solomon Tuliaupupu at the 235th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
