Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
Grand theft in the Round 3 slot: the Buccaneers steal Williams and grade out a B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Buccaneers fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Williams falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Kayvon Thibodeaux deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 A.J. Harris
Nothing to complain about; A.J. Harris went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick63 Rnd2 Arvell Reese
Arvell Reese is a better player than slot 63 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick95 Rnd3 Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams at pick 95 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick131 Rnd4 Blake Miller
No drama and no debate, Blake Miller went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 31. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick211 Rnd6 Miller Moss
They did well to land Miller Moss in No. 211, just ahead of his grade. It fills a real need, too.
