The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Buccaneers reached some 32 spots for C.J. Fite, and value like that does not grow back. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Johnson.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
