The rest of the league had time to spare on Dont'e Thornton Jr.; the Buccaneers did not wait, grabbing him 28 spots ahead at the 157th pick. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They will answer for taking linebacker early while interior defensive lineman, tight end and other spots went begging. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Starks at that price is a win they earned.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
