Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B-
ValueC- NeedB TradesB+ FutureB-
The Buccaneers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Buccaneers took Miller Moss a full 131 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Tacario Davis
In slot 17 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman at pick 45 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick49 Rnd2 Tory Horton
Tory Horton in pick No. 49 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick77 Rnd3 Clay Webb
The board had cheaper options than Clay Webb at the Round 3 slot, and it noticed. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick109 Rnd4 Miller Moss
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Miller Moss. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick141 Rnd5 Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at the 141st overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick205 Rnd7 Cody Simon
Value said wait; Cody Simon in pick No. 205 says they were not listening. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
