There is conviction, and then there is this. The Buccaneers took Phillip Webb a full 114 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Bassa pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will answer for taking linebacker early while tight end and running back went begging.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
