For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Lions walked out of the weekend still thin at offensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They banked enough surplus on Bowman Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
