The Buccaneers let Gillotte fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Ashton Gillotte at slot 165 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Spending an early pick on linebacker with tight end and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
