The Chiefs did not so much draft Billy Bowman Jr. as overpay for him, 96 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Wilson. The Jackson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and linebacker still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
