Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers let Woodson fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Craig Woodson at pick 239 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Reaching for Kandra left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Grey Zabel
In pick No. 23 they get a building block for the line, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
A straight-up fair deal on Azareye'h Thomas at the 54th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick87 Rnd3 Luke Kandra
They talked themselves into Luke Kandra at pick 87, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick123 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
They robbed the room for Cam Skattebo here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick160 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in No. 160 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick200 Rnd6 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
A slide stopped in the Round 6 slot, with KeAndre Lambert-Smith worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick239 Rnd7 Craig Woodson
You do not let a safety like Craig Woodson reach slot 239 and blink. They did not. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick251 Rnd7 Moliki Matavao
They paid sticker price for Moliki Matavao in Round 7, Pick 33, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
