There is reaching, and then there is CJ West at the Round 6 slot. The Bills jumped the board by 34 and dared it to prove them wrong.

Ransom falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
