Somebody in pick No. 216 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Tre Harris, the No. 49 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A to cap it.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
