The trade table was a mismatch, and the Browns were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Thornton Jr. pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Baker Mayfield pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
