Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Cody Simon got past him. The Browns do not have to explain a thing at the Round 6 slot. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Every board in the league had Milroe lower, and that gap is the story. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
