The Browns won the night they stopped Smith from sliding. Grade: B. Somebody in pick No. 193 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Brashard Smith, the No. 37 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They are betting Jones Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
