Draft Grade — Browns

FutureB-
The Browns robbed the room for Hancock. Final grade: B+. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jordan Hancock, the 115th overall pick, roughly 52 picks past where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The De'Vondre Campbell deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
The Sheppard reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Emeka Egbuka
In pick No. 31 they get a difference-maker at receiver, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick32
Rnd1
Jonah Savaiinaea
In No. 32 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
Pick81
Rnd3
Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe in slot 81 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick95
Rnd3
Quincy Riley
Steal is underselling it; Quincy Riley at pick 95 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick115
Rnd4
Jordan Hancock
Circle this one: Jordan Hancock at Round 4, Pick 19 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick116
Rnd4
Dasan McCullough
Dasan McCullough in the 116th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick127
Rnd4
Wyatt Milum
Wyatt Milum in the 127th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick128
Rnd4
DJ Giddens
Value with a capital V on DJ Giddens in the Round 4 slot, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
Pick147
Rnd5
DJ Campbell
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on DJ Campbell. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jahdae Barron
Jahdae Barron in pick 159 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick160
Rnd5
Will Sheppard
A conviction pick on Will Sheppard at Round 5, Pick 32 that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick177
Rnd6
Jake Briningstool
No edge and no loss on Jake Briningstool in pick No. 177; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
