When a board-topper like Malik Muhammad slides to the 106th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Browns did not. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They will need Shelton to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
