Draft Grade — Titans
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Titans, and a B- to prove it. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Davin Vann at pick 180 is 76 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In the 1st pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
JT Tuimoloau
A reach on JT Tuimoloau in the Round 2 slot; the board had better options right there. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick102
Rnd4
Ashton Gillotte
Ashton Gillotte in the 102nd overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick119
Rnd4
Will Howard
A slide stopped in Round 4, Pick 18, with Will Howard worth more than the price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick142
Rnd5
Tahj Brooks
Tahj Brooks in No. 142 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick168
Rnd5
Alijah Huzzie
This one needs a full-page explanation: Alijah Huzzie in slot 168, miles early. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick180
Rnd6
Davin Vann
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Davin Vann well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
